Updates, New Projects, and a tribute to
Winnie Holman Andrus (1946-2021)
This update is bitter-sweet. Although it’s been a while since the last update, Sherman has busy!
Since the last posting, he has released his autobiography, “My Story, My Song, Blessed”, which has been met with great reception and success. He has also recorded an audiobook version, and it is available on his website for purchase. This book is an intimate glimpse into the life and history of Sherman’s journey in contemporary and southern gospel music.
He is also proud to announce that his first album, “I’ve Got Confidence”, is newly remastered and is now available on CD for you to enjoy. This project (from 1969) features 12 wonderful songs, most of which were written by the late, great Andrae Crouch. Those of you that have Sherman’s book will remember Elvis Presley wanting to meet Sherman because he was the first person to record the song, “I’ve Got Confidence”. This is the project that started it all! This CD is an absolute must-have!
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sherman’s queen of 55 years, Winnie Holman Andrus. Although it is never easy to say goodbye to someone in this Earthly domain, Winnie is now with Sherman Jr. and her parents at the feet of Jesus, worshipping her Lord and Savior. A video of her celebration of life service has been made available, and can be viewed by clicking the graphic to the right. Please keep Sherman in your prayers.
Sherman is doing well and wants to thank everyone that has called or messaged to check on him. All of these expressions of love have meant more to him than you can imagine. He has been making some public appearances, and has really enjoyed reconnecting with so many of his friends and loved-ones. He looks forward to seeing everyone again soon, and is praying for you.
